Rafael Antonio Nazario / Raf Nazario: CDs, Scores, Music

Norma (Demo-original)

(Rafael Antonio Nazario / Raf Nazario)
Music by Rafael A. Nazario, Lyrics by Raf Nazario & Jim Pagano

Norma was a song I had written while living in Los Angeles... a story about a woman who was a casualty of show biz and dropped out.  Later when working with Jim I asked him to help with the song, which I considered unfinished.

Norma

Where are you Norma

dancing 'round in the moonlight

if I search in the footlights

would I find you there...golden hair,

would you wear a smile?

Did the fear of forever

cause your change in direction

when he lost your affection

did you find a way to keep your heart

from the could outside

Is the music still playing?

is your timing still right?

is someone there waiting

for his chance in your light ?

where are you Norma? d

id you find any glory

in your one night engagements

every partner a new chance

for a grand debut,

dress rehearsal for better times

is the music still playing

you still have the glow

is the price you’ve been paying

beginning to show

where are you Norma?

My beautiful dancer

I wish you could answer

I hope you’ve achieved…

all the noble intentions

and the lofty ideals

don’t you know how it feels

to have reached a goal

and still not know

if it’s all a game

Is the music still playing?

are your dreams still alive?

has something been lost?

in the fight to survive?

where are you Norma?

…are you dancing tonight?
